About DeLynne
DeLynne Sperry grew up in the beautiful, rural countryside of Roseburg, Oregon. Her desire to be an artist blossomed midway through the seventh grade when it became apparent that she was developing a considerable talent. Although declared legally blind since the sixth grade, DeLynne continued to excel in her abilities as an artist. She developed a unique style of complex pencil art, which has become her trademark. It was soon realized that she had a gift far beyond most. DeLynne has now had laser eye surgery and will continue to use her unique, complex pencil art as well as her painting.
As her talents grew, she was prompted to share them with others. She entered county fair exhibits where "First Place" and "Judge's Choice" awards were easily won. At the time of her high school graduation she was awarded various college art scholarships which were used to obtain her Associate Degree in Fine Arts.
The depth and imagination of DeLynne's work amazes those who view her art because they recognize the sensitivity and talent each one portrays. Now, DeLynne is offering her art to the world with the hope that it will uplift and inspire all who see it.
Note: DeLynne Sperry's maiden name is Gibby, in explanation to her first prints being signed as such. She has now chosen to use her married name Sperry. Both DeLynnes are the same.
